wave.com Zn divergence.com .5 tuneup.com after tuneup press "Update" in bluice "Collect" TAB to read in correct Energy for Zn Find a crystal that diffracts well run index get a stragey use the recommended Starting Phi angle and set total data collect range to be 180 degrees of data Click on Inverse beam (Remember to Collect into a New Subdirectory!) Press the "SCAN" Tab and Run a MAD Scan at the Zn-K edge when the scan is done, if successful, it will list 3 energies: Inflecion, Peak, and Remote Compute the arithmetic Mean Energy of the Peak and Inflection Engergies (Peak + Inflection)/2 In Collect Tab Press "Update" to read in the 3 energies you got from the MAD Scan Delete either the peak or the inflection engery then enter the Mean Engery into the Energy you did NOT delete You should now have 2 energies Mean and Remote Make the Wedge size 30 degrees run "exposure_time.com" to calculate the allowable exposure time for each frame. Do NOT take the defalt of NOT measuring the flux, i.e. enter "y" or "yes", then move crystal out of the way and press enter. If you do NOT have an expousre of at least 0.2 seconds per frame, then you need to attenuate more! Try "divergence.com .35" and run again If that doesn't attenuate enough try "divergence.com .25 .25" If that doesn't attenuate enough try to Reduce the total number of frames by decreasing the oscillation angle. Then run "exposure_time.com" again When you get an acceptable exposure time -- one Greater Than or Equal to 0.2 seconds -- put that into "Time" in the RUN_1 in the Collection Tab and START DATA COLLECTION. Good Luck
